Storage

How big is a Mobistore unit?

We have multiple unit sizes.

Our standard storage unit (8.3m3) internal dimension ares 2.2m (L) x 1.75m (W) x 2.17m (H).

We also have a 9m3 and 10m3 storage units.

Can I get frequent access to my storage unit?

If you need daily access then please call 0800 662 478 to discuss your requirements. This type of request is quite rare unless you’re a small business.

Can I keep my Mobistore unit at my location indefinitely?

No, you can keep your unit(s) onsite for up to two weeks when you are loading. When you have finished loading, contact Mobistore and we will pick-up within 48 hours of your request.

If you want to keep the units onsite for longer than two weeks, this should be discussed with Mobistore prior to order. Additional charges may apply.

Is the interior lined?

Mobistore Units are made of 12mm thick plywood. The smooth walls ensure your furniture is not bruised or snagged during loading.

Are Mobistore units weatherproof?

Yes, they’re made of timber framing and plywood and while on site they’re covered with heavy-duty waterproof covers.

Are Mobistore units secure?

Yes, you lock your Mobistore unit with padlocks. Mobistore sells padlocks or you can provide your own. It is recommended that each unit have at least one padlock. Mobistore stores your packed unit(s) in one of its purpose-built, new secure storage facilities all of which have monitored security systems.

Delivery

Where can I get a Mobistore unit delivered to?

Mobistore delivers storage units Auckland wide. Mobistore  will also re-deliver your storage unit(s) out of town if you are moving away from Auckland after storing with us. Please call 0800 662 478 with your specific requirements.

Do you deliver outside service areas?

Yes we do however it depends on the location and availability. So please call 0800 662 478 to discuss your requirements.

How much space do I need at my place for a Mobistore unit?

External dimensions are: 2.23m(l) x 1.86m(w) x 2.35m(h)

Mobistore units are delivered on to your door via an all terrain forklift.  The forklift is highly maneuverable and can place your unit in the most optimal position on your drive. If your drive way has a steep incline or is not 2.5m wide, please call 0800 662 478 to discuss other delivery options.

Do I need to be there when my Mobistore unit is delivered?

No. Just let us know where you want your Mobistore unit(s) placed when you make your booking.

I’m just moving – can Mobistore deliver a Mobistore unit from my old place to my new place without storing it?

Yes, however additonal charges will apply if you are wanting delivery/move same day service.

Re-delivery

Do you provide a re-delivery service?

Yes, convenience is core to our business. We can deliver your unit locally, we also offer an out of town re-delivery service. Call 0800 662 478 for more details.

Is there a re-delivery charge?

Yes, our service fees for within our Auckland service area are below:

Delivery (of empy unit) – $35 / unit

Pick-up (of packed unit) – $35 / unit

Re-delivery (of packed unit when you have finished storing) – $35 / unit

Final Pick-up (of empty unit) – $35 / unit

Auckland suburbs outside of our service area have a small surcharge ontop of the above rates. Call 0800 662 478 for a price on out of town unit re-delivery .

Can I arrange a re-delivery just to access a few of my items?

Yes, our standard service fees apply within our Auckland service and are below:

Re-delivery (of packed unit) – $35 / unit

Pick-up (of packed unit) – $35 / unit

Access

Where are your storage facilities located?

Can I access my stuff onsite at Mobistore?

Yes, call 0800 662 478 or email bookings@mobistore.co.nz to make a booking, 24 hours notice is required.

Does it cost me anything for access?

No, access if free.

Can I get weekend access?

Yes, however you must make an appointment before midday on Friday. Access requests after this time will mean Monday afternoon access is the next available access time.

Your unit(s) will be made available on both Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 7pm.

Can I get access during office hours?

Yes, however you must provide no less than 24 hour notice.

Can I get access after office hours (after 5pm)?

Yes, however you must  make an appointment 24 hours prior. For security reasons the storage facility is closed from 7pm – 7am.

What are the Mobistore storage facility operating hours?

Office hours

Weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm

Storage facility access hours

Weekdays from 7am to 7pm, 24 hour notice is required prior to accessing your storage unit.

Weekend from 8am – 6pm, this must be arranged before midday on the Friday.

Delivery hours

Weekdays from 9am to 5pm, any service requests outside of these hours should be arranged by calling 0800 662 478. (Additional service charge may apply).

Closed on Sundays, Public Holidays and during the Christmas holiday season.

Will it be easy to access my unit?

Yes, all units will be located on the ground floor for easy access. You can park your vehicle next to the unit for easy loading/unloading.

What is the process for when I arrive at Mobistore to access my unit?

On weekdays walk around to our reception area where we will check your identification and then provide you access to your unit.

On weekends call our 0800 662 478 number on arrival. Mobistore will verify you via CCTV, then remotely open the gate to give you access to your unit. Drive through the gate and park adjacent to your unit. When you have finished simply drive up to the gate and it will automatically open to let you out.

Can I get frequent access to my storage unit?

Pickup or final pickup

Is there a pick-up fee?

Yes, our service fees for within our Auckland service area are below:

Delivery (of empy unit) – $35 / unit

Pick-up (of packed unit) – $35 / unit

Re-delivery (of packed unit when you have finished storing) – $35 / unit

Final Pick-up (of empty unit) – $35 / unit

Auckland suburbs outside of our service area have a small surcharge ontop of the above rates.

How do I arrange a pick-up or final pick-up?

Call 0800 662 478 or email bookings@mobistore.co.nz.

We will endeavour to pick-up your unit(s) within 48 hours of your request.

Please note:  Your storage subscription does not end when you request a re-delivery of your unit. Your storage subscription ends when you notify us that your unit is empty and ready for immediate collection.

Loading / unloading units & moving house services

How long can I take to load the unit?

To help reduce the stress we allow up to two weeks, if you need longer to store your unit call 0800 662 478 to discuss.

I need assistance with loading/unloading my unit(s), can Mobistore help?

Yes, Mobistore provides a loading/unloading service. View our price calculator for indicative pricing.

When I de-clutter with Mobistore, can I get my unit delivered to my new address?

Yes, if you are using our service to de-clutter your house before you sell, you can request your items be re-delivered to your new house.

Does Mobistore offer a house moving service?

Yes, Mobistore can assist with ALL your moving requirements. We offer traditional house moving services using furniture removal trucks and are happy to provide your with a competitive quote. Call us on 0800 662 478 or email bookings@mobistore.co.nz.

Payment

How do I pay and what type of credit cards do you accept?

You can book and pay online using a Visa or MasterCard credit card or debit card. Mobistore’s system will automatically charge your card on your monthly renewal date (monthly anniversary of your unit delivery date).

If you would like to pay via bank transfer then your order can be placed by calling 0800 662 478. Payment for the delivery, pick-up and first month’s storage must be mae prior to the unit being delivered.

Do you store my credit card details?

No, Mobstore does not store your credit card details.

A high strength encryption facility on your computer converts your credit card details into a format that is currently considered to be impossible to break. All Payments are handled by a secure, PCI compliant third party EWAY, which forwards them securely to the banking network.

Insurance

Are my items insured during transit?

Yes, Mobistore provides insurance cover for your items whilst they are in transit to the value of $15,000.

Do I need Insurance?

Mobistore recommends customers always have insurance cover for their items. We have partnered with New Zealand’s largest insurance broker to offer affordable insurance policies that protect against loss of those items you value the most.

Home and contents insurance policies typically don’t cover items stored in self-storage facilities. We recommend you check your home contents insurance policy. If you don’t have a policy that covers your items while in storage we offer a comprehensive insurance solution. For just $15 per month we provide $10,000 of content insurance cover, or multiples of.

To purchase simply add “content insurance” to your order when you book your Mobistore unit and we’ll email your insurance summary to you before you store.

Prohibited items list?

You must not store hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods.

For example:

  • Chemicals
  • Dangerous Goods
  • Explosives
  • Flammables (including matches, lighters, candles, fireworks)
  • Liquids
  • Paints
  • Plants
  • Poisons

We recommend that you don’t store anything that is irreplaceable, priceless or of great sentimental value.
