Storage

How big is a Mobistore unit?

Our standard storage unit internal dimension ares 2.2m (L) x 1.75m (W) x 2.17m (H).

Can I get frequent access to my storage unit?

If you need daily access then please call 0800 662 478 to discuss your requirements. This type of request is quite rare unless your a small business.

Can I keep my Mobistore unit at my location indefinitely?

No and you must contact Mobistore when it’s ready to go, that is once your finished packing up. All of which is no added cost.

We prefer to have the Mobistore unit back within two weeks of delivery because our facility is designed to be secure, clean and dry.

Is the interior lined?

Mobistore Units are made of 12mm thick plywood. The smooth walls ensure your furniture is not bruised or snagged during loading.

Are Mobistore units weatherproof?

Yes, they’re made of timber framing and plywood and while on site they’re covered with heavy-duty waterproof covers.

Are Mobistore units secure?

Yes, you lock your Mobistore Unit with your own padlock (or ask when you book and we’ll supply one) and they’re stored in our secure storage facility with monitored security.

Delivery

Where can I get a Mobistore Unit delivered to?

Anywhere within the Service Area, for areas outside please call 0800 662 478.

Do you deliver outside service areas?

Yes we do however it depends on the location and availability. So please call 0800 662 478 to discuss your requirements.

How much space do I need at my place for a Mobistore Unit?

External dimensions are: 2.23m(l) x 1.86m(w) x 2.35m(h)

Mobistore Units are delivered on the very clever Mobistore trailer system. The trailer is highly maneuverable and can easily fit into a car park space. Once positioned the Mobistore Unit is lowered and ready for you to load. You don’t need to worry about extra room for ramps and a large trailer.

Do I need to be there when my Mobistore Unit is delivered?

No. Just let us know where you want the Mobistore Unit placed when you make your booking.

I’m just moving – can Mobistore deliver a Mobistore Unit from my old place to my new place without storing it?

Yes you can however unless you book early you will need to allow for a day or two to schedule the move. We’ll collect and deliver during our work hours. We’re often cheaper and far more convenient than hiring a trailer and doing it yourself.

Re-delivery

Do you provide a re-delivery service?

Yes, convenience is core to our business.

Is there a re-delivery charge?

Yes, $55 is our standard charge for re-delivery however there may be additional charges for outside service areas.

Can I have a re-delivery to collect a few items?

Yes, the standard $55 charge applies for the re-delivery for short term access. When you are ready for pickup just give us a call or email. The pickup is always free.

Access

Where is your storage facility located?

17 Orbit drive, Rosedale, Auckland, 0632. To make things easier here’s a map.

Can I access my stuff onsite at Mobistore?

Yes, access is most important to Mobistore.

Does it cost me anything for access?

No, access if free.

Can I get weekend access?

Yes, however you MUST make an appointment on a week day prior to the weekend. That means after 5pm on Friday we don’t take any more access appointments for that weekend.

Can I get access during office hours?

Yes, however for your own convenience please call 2 hours prior to arrival.

Can I get access after office hours?

Most definitely, however you MUST make an appointment prior to 3pm on that day. For security reasons the storage facility is closed from 7pm – 7am.

What are the Mobistore storage facility operating hours?

Office hours

All weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm
Tuesday – 9:00am to 5:00pm

Storage facility access hours

All weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, access 5pm must be arranged before 3pm that day.

Saturday and Sunday access from 9:00am – 7pm, this must be arranged prior to the weekend and before 5pm on the Friday.

Delivery hours

All weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, any hours outside standard you must call 0800 662 478. (extra service charge will apply)

No deliveries on Sunday

Closed public holidays

Will it be easy to access my unit?

Yes, all units will be located on the ground floor for easy access. You can park your vehicle next to the unit for easy transfer.

What is the process when I'm onsite at Mobistore?

On weekdays walk around to our reception area where we will check your identification and then provide you access.

One weekends call our 0800 662 478 number and they will check your identification prior to providing you access to our secured area.

Pickup or final pickup

Is there a pickup charge?

All pickup’s and final pickup’s are free of charge.

How do I arrange a pickup or final pickup?

When you are ready for your empty unit to be collected, call 0800 662 478 or email bookings@mobistore.co.nz and request a fnal pick-up. Your storage subscription ends when you notify us that your unit is empty and ready for immediate collection.

Packing and removalists

How long can I take to pack the unit?

To help reduce the stress we allow up to two weeks and no more, if you need it for longer please talk to us.

Can Mobistore help me pack or unpack?

If you need help packing or unpacking large furniture items, then speak with our recommended removalists.

If I need temporary cheap storage while I move is that included?

Yes, we’ll bring your stuff back to our secure storage facility and deliver to your new place when you’re ready.  There is a re-delivery charge of $55.

Payment

How do I pay and what type of credit cards do you accept?

You can book and pay online using a Visa or MasterCard credit card. Mobistore will arrange for your credit card to be charged any monthly fees or charges on the anniversary of the day you receive your Mobistore unit.

if you choose to use bank transfer then you must place order via 0800 662 478, or contact us to talk about other payment options.

Do you store my credit card details?

No, Mobstore does not store your credit card details.

A high strength encryption facility on your computer converts your credit card details into a format that is currently considered to be impossible to break. All Payments are handled by a secure, PCI compliant third party EWAY, which forwards them securely to the banking network.

Insurance

Is my content insured during transit?

Mobistore provides insurance cover for your items whilst they are in transit to the value of $25,000.

Do I need Insurance?

Mobistore recommends customers always have insurance cover for their belongings. We have partnered with New Zealand’s largest insurance broker to offer affordable insurance policies that protect against loss of those items you value the most.

Home and contents insurance policies typically don’t cover items stored in self-storage facilities. We recommend you check your home contents insurance policy. If you don’t have a policy that covers your items while in storage we offer a comprehensive insurance solution. For just $10 per month we provide $10,000 of content insurance cover.

To purchase simply add “content insurance” to your order when you book your Mobistore unit and we’ll email your insurance summary to you before you store.

Prohibited items list?

You must not store hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods.

For example:

  • Chemicals
  • Dangerous Goods
  • Explosives
  • Flammables (including matches, lighters, candles, fireworks)
  • Liquids
  • Paints
  • Plants
  • Poisons

We recommend that you don’t store anything that is irreplaceable, priceless or of great sentimental value.
